A gnarly, rock 'n' roll ready players grade '76 Tele!
Some of our favourite examples of late '70s Fenders we've personally encountered have been Telecasters. This particular example is no exception, delivering the classic feel and sound of these models with some player-grade modifications thrown in. Dating to 1976 from its neck plate serial number and the tone control potentiometer, this example marks an earlier period before serial numbers appeared on headstocks. Featuring an alder body with its original and well worn finish, this example is complimented by a maple neck with a rosewood veneer fretboard. Under the hood, the original neck pickup is present as what appears to be most of the wiring, three-way switch, capacitor, and tone control. At some stage, this example has had a Seymour Duncan '59 added in the bridge position as well as the bridge replaced along with new saddles and bridge to accommodate the humbucker. However throughout, this example retains its original tuners, string trees, and knobs. The result is an awesome players grade example with added tonal flexibility courtesy of the bridge humbucker.
Cosmetic condition is fair for its age with noticeable wear to the finish throughout the body and including the back of the neck and headstock. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes the original hardcase.
