The Jazzmaster meets metal in this excellent collaboration between Jim Root of Slipknot, and Fender!
Known for donning a scary mask and playing lightning fast riffs with metal act Slipknot, Jim Roots collaboration with Fender has brought about contemporary re-imaginings of Fenders catalog, suited for the modern metal musician. Minimalist and clad in black, the Jim Root Jazzmaster features a mahogany body with satin urethan finish, in combination with a maple neck with Ebony fretboard. In keeping with modern sensibilities, the fretboard radius on these models is 12" to 16", with a Modern C carve. Featuring an EMG 60 and 81, the Jim Root Jazzmaster is dialed in for only the most crushing of tones.
In contrast to other second-hand examples, this one presents in great condition with minimal wear to the satin urethane finish. There is some wear around where the picking hand rests, with the back of instrument having very minor marks in a few spots. Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low medium action. Includes all hangtags and the original hard case (albeit with some 'cat wear').
