A great Harmony from the '60s!
One of the most prolific guitar manufacturers in the States during their initial run, Harmony guitars saw a later resurgence as part of the garage rock revival of the 2000s. This particular example is the H-47 model, and appears to date to sometime around early to mid 1960s. Featuring a hollow construction with a built on neck, these were intended as affordable budget models for those that couldn't quite spring for a Fender or Gibson. This example retains its original De Armond Golden-Tone pickup which combined with the original rhythm/treble/bass switch, offers up some cool possibilities. The rest of the hardware throughout appears original to this example. A great vintage example with plenty of mojo!
Cosmetic condition is good for its age, with the expected finish wear, checking, dings, and scratches representative of an instrument of this age. The mercury logo in the middle of the headstock has worn away and lost some legibility. Shows excellent checking all throughout. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Currently strung with a set of flatwound strings. No case or gig bag included.
