1960s Teisco Model P Lap Steel Red

We love funky old lap steels, and this example from Teisco is a cool one!

Based off the headstock emblem, this example appears to date to sometime around the early 1960s and has the model designation 'P'. A classic six string example which appears to show a painted fretboard, as well as a replacement humbucker. Control plate, knobs, tuners, and bridge appear original to this example. Teisco were well known for making a variety of oddities during the heights of their production, which extended to their lapsteels. 

Cosmetic condition is fair for its age, showing noticeable signs of finish wear as well as numerous dings and scratches and wear to the painted fretboard. Only the volume control is wired in. Otherwise, hardware is fully functional. Currently tuned to Open D with roundwound strings. No case or gig bag included.
