Framus were a German manufacturer of various stringed instruments from 1946 to 1975, including quite nice banjos!
This particular example dates to 1962, and is one of their 4-string tenor banjos. At some stage the wooden back has been routed for a larger neck, which is overall a shorter scale length and included in what appears to be the original case. Currently tuned up like a baritone ukulele, which is very fun!
Has some wear for its age, but otherwise present reasonably well! Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes what appears to be the original case.
