A gorgeous archtop from noted German instrument manufacturer, Framus!
This example dates to May of 1962, given production year stamp of 62E. These models saw manufacture beginning in the mid-1950s with production stopping sometime in the 1960s. Features a nice 3 1/4" body depth with a lower bout width of 16 1/2". Feels substantial without being overwhelming, and helps in delivering a nice mid-range focus. This example features a 'Hi Fi Six' tailpiece from the model of the same name, as well as '60s Schaller tuners. A Attila Zoller pickup is fitted to the pickguard, and doesn't an exceptional job at capturing the acoustic qualities of this instrument.
Cosmetic condition is quite nice for its age, with checking throughout and minor dings and scratching. There is some wear to the logo, but overall presents quite nice. Especially the gorgeous back this instrument possess! Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Includes the original tweed case, with a gorgeous blue lining in the interior.
