1970s Ibanez 2405 Custom Agent Sunburst

A fascinating example from Ibanez's Artist series!
Made in Japan by FujiGen, this particular model was introduced in the Ibanez catalog in 1974 and saw production through to 1977. Taking clear inspiration from the LP shape, the 2405 featured a birch top and mahogany body, in combination with a laminated birch neck and ebonized rosewood fretboard. This example features a gorgeous mandolin-style headstock (missing the Ibanez logo that was originally present), as well as quite an ornamental design on the body below the tailpiece. Specifically, this example has had its bridge and tailpiece replaced, and is missing the logo and pickguard. The original pickups and wiring are present, as well as knobs and tuners. Authentically 1970s, this example oozes character and charm!
Cosmetic condition is good for its age with notable play wear throughout. There are dings to the body and headstock. The gold plating on the pickups shows noticeable wear. There is a split in the neck pickup ring. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. No case or gig bag included.
