Another late '70s Stratocaster has hit the wall!
This particular example dates to 1979 and features all the expected specifications including ash body, CBS-era headstock, and three-bolt neck plate. This particular example has had the original pickups replaced with a set of Seymour Duncan SSL5s, however the originals are included. Most of the wiring, pickup switch, and pots however appear to be original to the instrument. Importantly, is the inclusion of the bridge cover which is tricky to find on these! Original finish is present, in-tact, and looking lovely! Includes the manuals, tags, pick, and strap in the case!
The SSL5s in this context sound great! Lovely amount of output, whilst retaining a lot of the quack and spank you want from an old Strat like this. Great feeling neck too, sufficiently rounded with a bit of depth.
Hardware is fully functional, and plays well with a low action. Includes the original hard case.
