An example from early ESP USA history!
48th St Custom Guitars existed back in the '80s on Music Row in New York City. Acting as a US presence for the ESP brand at the time, 48th St Custom Guitars made instruments in house as well as traded as a regular guitar store. This example comes from this period, and is a Silver Widow model (as exemplified by the stunning paint job applied). Unfortunately, information is quite limited as many of these examples represent custom orders. Typical super Strat shape for the time with a HSS configuration as well as original Floyd Rose locking tremolo. The three switches engage and disengage each respective pickup which is quite a neat feature. All that appears to be missing is the truss rod cover.
Cosmetic condition is good with play wear, swirl marks, and light scratching present throughout, predominantly focused on the back of the body. There are some marks where allan keys have rubbed against the finish on the back of the headstock. Bridge hardware shows some rust and corrosion, but is still fully functional. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low action. Due to the light gauge of strings, there is light rattle unplugged of which most doesn't particularly translate when plugged in. Includes a wooden, rectangular hardcase.
