Manufactured in Taiwan, either during the late 70s or early 80s, this Yamaha CJ-818 is a great sounding jumbo acoustic with plenty of character and mojo. Features an all-laminate construction utilising spruce for the top and mahogany for the back. Neck feels reasonably full in hand, and as you progress up the neck, seems to taper to a soft 'V' profile. This particular example has a bit of lift to the top and could do with a straighten, otherwise plays just fine for cowboy chords.
Cosmetic condition is reasonable for its age with the expected dings, particularly noticeable on the top, as well as the back, neck and headstock areas.
Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium action. Includes what appears to be an original hardcase.
