1981 Boss OD-1 OverDrive

Straight forward, overdrive fun!

Showing up in Boss catalogues in 1977, the Boss OD-1 was one of the early overdrive units among contemporaries such as the two knob MXR Distortion +. Boasting just a level and overdrive control, the OD-1 quickly caught on for its ability to push amps over the edge. This particular example dates to 1981, and has a later RC4558P chip. Sounds great by itself, or using it to push an amp. 

Comsetic condition is reasonable for its age, with some tarnishing to the enclosure. There is velcro attached, and what appears to be two drill holes through the bottom plate. Hardware and electronics are fully functional. No box included.
