1989 Fender American Vintage '57 Precision Bass Vintage White

A killer AV series bass with some serious mileage!

The original run of vintage reissue models started emerging from the Fullerton factory in late '82, with those original examples produced up until the move to the Corona factory in '85 steadily gaining serious value. This later example from 1989 still has the mojo of those earlier reissues, but at a more attainable price point. This particular example sports a stamped neck date of April 27th, and a body date of July 13th. Originally produced in vintage white, this examples nitro finish has substantially yellowed over time. Glimpses of the original finishes colour can be seen under the original pickguard. Despite missing the thumb rest and the original tuners having been replaced, this example presents in original condition with electronics, pickup, and bridge appearing correct to this example. A super cool player with plenty of mojo and ready for more years of hard use!

Cosmetic condition is fair for its age showing prominent nitro discolouration throughout. There are minor dings, scratches, and marks present throughout the entire instrument. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes a period-correct black tolex Fender hardcase.
