A killer precision bass from one of Fender Japan's best regarded time periods!
With a J-prefix serial, this example dates some time between 1989-1990 and is from the 'MIJ' period, a highly desirable time period for Fender Japan instruments. Appearing in the catalog as the PB-70 model, this example seeks to replicate in both aesthetics and feel, what '70s Fender Precision basses felt like. Finished in a now faded white finish, this example features that classic 'Oval' neck shape that was quite common on basses from this time.
Cosmetic condition is okay for its age. There are notable dings and paint wear found on the bottom strap pin end of the body, as well as an overall discolouration to the finish. There is also the outline of a sticker, which can happen when the finish has had UV exposure with the sticker on. Hardware is fully functional, and plays beautifully with a low action. No case.
