A cool piece of Swedish instrument manufacturing history!
Founded by Herman Carlson Levin in 1900, Levin manufactured a wide array of instruments up until becoming defunct in 1978. This particular example is the model 52, dating to around 1947 based off its serial number. Composed of a spruce top with flame birch back and sides, this example has a fair amount of punch for such a small instrument. Finished in sunburst, these also feature a rosewood fretboard and bridge. This example appears to retain all its original hardware. A fun, compact acoustic from Sweden!
Cosmetic condition is good for its age, showing expected wear in regards to the finish in the form of checking, dings, scratches, and pick marks. The back shows emergent separation which appears to be holding solid for the moment, but would require cleating down the line. As these don't have truss rods, there is some bowing to the neck, however there is still some saddle left to play around with. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a medium-high action. Includes a gig bag.
