An overlooked gem from the '70s Fender catalog, revitalised!
The Fender Starcaster was originally introduced in 1976 and saw production until 1982, where it was discontinued. Underappreciated during its time, the Starcaster served as Fenders attempt top produce a rival model to the Gibson ES-335. Instead it sold pretty poorly, until a Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead picked one up and drove the price of vintage examples upwards. This release as part of Squiers 'Classic Vibe' series offers up all the fun of the Starcaster, but at a less eye-watering price point. Featuring a laminated maple body construction in combination with a maple neck, the Starcaster delivers a snappy semi-hollow sound. In tandem with Fender-designed Wide Ranging humbuckers, the Starcaster is truly a unique sound all its own. In contrast to original models, this features a more universal bridge and tailpiece combo. The big headstock is here and in all its glory.
Cosmetic condition is good with little play wear present. Hardware and electronics are present, and plays with a low action. Includes a gig bag.
