c1920-30s C. Bruno & Sons Parlor Sunburst

A fantastic, pre-war parlor!

The C. Bruno & Sons brand was a distributor based out of New York, of which had plenty of instruments made for them by a variety of builders. This particular example appears to date to sometime around the 1920s to 1930s, and was most likely manufactured by Regal or Oscar Schmidt (we're leaning a little more towards Regal). This particular example has had a neck reset in the past in addition to a possibly replaced bridge/bridge saddle/nut etc. Tuners look original, with this example featuring ladder bracing internally. There are some cracks to the top and back which have been stabilised with glue in the past. A generous V-neck profile is present, with this example possessing a beautifully dry and resonant sound. It's always exciting to see one of these historical instruments roll through the shop!

Cosmetic condition is good for its age, showing noticeable finish wear throughout in addition to evidence of repair in the form of neck repair and stabilised cracks. Saddle is sitting on the low side, however action is sitting at a sweet low-medium. Currently tuned to D-standard. Hardware is fully functional. Includes a vintage brown hardcase.
